Privacy policy
The short version: this site has no accounts, no forms and no advertising network. It collects almost nothing about you, and what little passes through is described below.
Who runs this site
Power Station Ranking is an independent publication based in California, United States. Contact: hello@powerstationranking.com.
What we collect
Nothing you type. There is no sign-up, newsletter, comment box or contact form on this site. If you email us, we keep the email for as long as needed to answer it.
Server logs. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare records the requests it serves, including the IP address, the page requested, the browser type and the referring page, and uses them to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We see only aggregate counts (pages viewed, countries, device types), not individual visitors. Cloudflare's own handling of that data is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Analytics. As of the effective date we run no analytics script and set no cookies of our own. If that changes we will update this page and name the tool.
Browser storage. The sort and filter controls on ranking pages run entirely in your browser and store nothing.
Affiliate links
Links to retailers such as Amazon are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer's site may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase to us, and we may earn a commission. We receive aggregate reports (how many clicks and orders, what was earned) but never your name, address or payment details. Retailer cookies are governed by the retailer's privacy policy, for example Amazon's. The affiliate relationship never affects how products are ranked; see how we rank.
Third-party fonts and links
Page typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers; Google's fonts privacy notice describes what it logs. Links to manufacturers, reviewers and labs lead to sites we don't control.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information a business collects about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and we hold none that identifies you, so there is nothing to delete. You may still make a request by email and we will confirm that.
EU and UK visitors (GDPR): the server logs described above are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in operating and securing the site. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection; write to the address above. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: because we set no tracking cookies and sell no data, these signals require no action from us, and we honor them by default.
Changes
When this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted on the updates page.
